Audition FunShops!
On the Saturday before auditions begin for each show, Kanawha
Players Artistic
Directors Jeff and Debbie Haught teach an Audition FunShop.
The Audition FunShop is deisgned to show participants how to
prepare for and what to expect during an audition. Attending an
audition FunShop allows participants to learn and gain
experience in an upbeat, low stress environment. See

Dates
The minimum age to
participate in an Audition FunShop depends on the casting needs for
the show.
Summer Basic Acting Workshop
Kanawha Players offers a free workshop, usually in late summer, to introduce the community actor to basic acting technique. Sessions include warm-ups, the physical actor, vocal technique, script analysis, character development, and scene work for actors 15 and older. The Basic Acting Workshop for 2007 has already occurred. When the schedule for 2008 is available it will be posted here.
